My daughter and I were in the mood for a sweet treat after John's Incredible Pizza. We decided to stop by the Dairy Queen in our neighborhood. This DQ is located off the Durango/N95 exit, inside a small shopping plaza. Parking can get pretty difficult during rush hour as there are limited spots to park at. Dairy Queen is considered a soft-service ice cream and fast-food restaurant. The first location originated all the way back in 1940! The menu has a wide range of ice cream flavors, smoothies, milkshakes, and their iconic creation, Blizzard. The blizzard is a blend of soft-serve that includes various mix-ins such as fruit, cookies, and even candies! This location offered some hot foods such as pretzels and hot dogs. There is currently a 2 for 5$ deal. I ended up getting a combo mix of a small sundae, vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup with a large soda. My daughter got a soft-serviced, vanilla ice cream, in a cone, dipped into chocolate, hard-shelled. It was pretty busy when we placed our order. There were 6 other customers ahead of us on a Sunday afternoon! This location has a few booths and table seating. We ended up eating our ice cream at the Dairy Queen after waiting about 15 minutes for our order. My vanilla ice cream with hot fudge was scrumptious!
